On any given day as a Menuisier(ère), you’ll study blueprints and specifications to understand technical requirements for each project. You’ll measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden, engineered, or steel structural elements. Installing beams, floorings, pre-built frameworks, and roofing elements is part of the job, as is fitting doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware. You’ll also maintain, repair, or renovate structures at diverse sites ranging from hospitals to industrial facilities. Leading apprentices and preparing client quotes can also be expected.
